Jaron Barrington: Music Minister

Jaron Barrington and his wife Vicki began serving at the Ridge in June 2005. Jaron believes all God’s children were created to worship Him and bring glory to his name. He is grateful for the opportunity that God has given to serve at the Ridge in music ministry. Music has been a big part of Jaron’s life even through his childhood growing up in Lawton Oklahoma where he participated in many choral and instrumental groups in the church and at school. Out of high school he moved to Tulsa Oklahoma where he was awarded a full scholarship in music to attend the University of Tulsa eventually earning his Bachelor of the Arts in Music. He met his wife Vicki in Tulsa and they were married in May of 1996. After college, Jaron surrendered to full time ministry and God led Him to get his Master of Music in church music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary December 2000. Vicki is a graduate of Bartlesville Wesleyan University and is a Registered Nurse. She absolutely loves nursing, but gives first priority to their three children, Emma, Cole and Kate, usually working a couple of shifts per week.

God is up to something big here at the Ridge, and he’s seeking hearts of obedience in worship. What a blessing! What a blessing to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, to walk in faith, to trust, to let God be God. Whatever it takes to worship and bring glory to His name, we pursue.
